Grace Chapel Tema is a vibrant church in Tema, Ghana. They wanted to extend their reach beyond Sunday services, connect with members, and provide a central hub for sermons, events, and giving.
No digital presence meant members had to rely on WhatsApp broadcasts for updates. Sermons were not archived, and giving was cash‑only, limiting participation from those unable to attend in person.
The Solution
We built a comprehensive church website that serves as a digital extension of the church community. Key features include:
- Online giving portal – members can tithe or give offerings via MoMo or card, with automatic receipt generation.
- Sermon archive – audio and video recordings of past sermons, with search and categories.
- Event calendar – upcoming programmes, conferences, and outreach events; users can RSVP.
- Member registration – new members can fill out a form to connect with the church leadership.
- Prayer request form – submit prayer requests; church leadership receives notifications.
- Live stream integration – embed YouTube or Facebook Live for Sunday services.
- Photo gallery – images from church events, baptisms, and outreach.
- Staff directory – profiles of pastors and ministry leaders.
Results & Impact
Within three months, online giving increased by over 150%, with many members who couldn't attend regularly now contributing. Sermon plays reached over 200 per month, extending the church's reach beyond Tema. The event calendar simplified planning and increased attendance at church programmes.
Pastor Ofori shared: "The website has become a vital tool for our ministry. Members who are away can still give, listen to sermons, and stay connected. It has united our community and made our administration so much easier."
